About the author:
After completing his studies, Klaus F. Steinberg started in 1970 as an engineer with Karman, a German car manufacturing company. He then moved to BMW where his responsibilities included series development, research and scenario development both in Germany and overseas. He also worked in project organisation, production- and concept planning. In 1994 he moved into automobile project management and lead the BMW team for annoying noise in the acoustics. Due to very little pre-existing research at the time, he concentrated on developing the physically scientific foundation of annoying
noise at BMW.
Resulting were a variety of target areas as well as corresponding software packages for contemporary annoying noise such as the systems LAS, SES and MAIS. These systems resultet in a number of international patents as well as awarded licences. |
